This was the original sketch of the spec home designed for The Whittle Development Corp. at The Enclave at Buffalo Creek in Heath, Texas. It was drawn by Ashley Gustavson.
The Preliminary Design Phase is when sketches and ideas begin appearing on paper and you start seeing the project take shape. But we don't work alone; your constant involvement in the design process is essential. We'll go back and forth a few times, until we arrive at a design we all like.
1. Initial Meeting: In-depth needs assessments including, but not limited to, discussion on lifestyle, goals and "wish lists" (both functional and esthetic). If the client is a builder, we discuss their building processes and preferences.
2. Site visit: Firsthand look at property to discuss home orientation, zoning covenants and explore opportunities for making the most of the site for views, natural light, passive solar energy.
